Project H.O.O.D. Refuge Summer Camp Employment
Project H.O.O.D. is inviting high school and college students to participate in its annual Refuge Summer Camp, an immersive program designed to build leadership skills, provide faith-based mentorship, and offer job opportunities.
Re-Entry Cohort
The Rebirth Project by Project H.O.O.D. is a 6-week, stipend-based Chicago re-entry program designed for at-risk youth ages 18–24. Beginning March 2nd, participants meet from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at 6620 S. King Drive. This structured cohort provides workforce readiness training, life skills development, mentorship, and personal growth support to help young adults successfully transition into employment, education, or entrepreneurship. Participants earn a stipend while building discipline, confidence, and clear career pathways. Space is limited—apply today to start your new beginning.
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Info Session + Game Day
Join Project H.O.O.D. on February 28 from 11 AM–2 PM at 6620 S. King Drive for a free Dementia and Alzheimer’s info session featuring medical professionals from Northwestern Medicine, University of Chicago, and Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. Learn about signs, symptoms, treatment options, and caregiver support, followed by a fun community Game Day with board games, puzzles, prizes, and lunch served.
Black History Celebration
Join Project H.O.O.D. for a powerful Black History Month celebration on February 25 at 6620 S. King Drive. This inspiring community event will feature live drumline performances, spoken word poetry, and dynamic dance presentations that honor Black culture, history, and artistic expression.
