The energy of March Madness brings people together around the excitement of the game, and this year Project H.O.O.D. is bringing that same excitement directly to the community.

Project H.O.O.D. continues its commitment to strengthening communities not only through opportunity and leadership, but also through personal well-being and resilience. On March 18, 2026, the organization will host Forge Forward: Strength in Mind and Body, an empowering event designed to help individuals strengthen both their mental and physical health.

Your second chance starts here. Project H.O.O.D., in partnership with Tree House Learning and Development, is offering a free 16-week GED and High School Diploma program beginning March 9 from 5:00–7:00 PM at 6620 S. King Drive in Chicago. T

Project H.O.O.D. is inviting high school and college students to participate in its annual Refuge Summer Camp, an immersive program designed to build leadership skills, provide faith-based mentorship, and offer job opportunities.

The Rebirth Project by Project H.O.O.D. is a 6-week, stipend-based Chicago re-entry program designed for at-risk youth ages 18–24. Beginning March 2nd, participants meet from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at 6620 S. King Drive. This structured cohort provides workforce readiness training, life skills development, mentorship, and personal growth support to help young adults successfully transition into employment, education, or entrepreneurship. Participants earn a stipend while building discipline, confidence, and clear career pathways. Space is limited—apply today to start your new beginning.

Join Project H.O.O.D. on February 28 from 11 AM–2 PM at 6620 S. King Drive for a free Dementia and Alzheimer’s info session featuring medical professionals from Northwestern Medicine, University of Chicago, and Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. Learn about signs, symptoms, treatment options, and caregiver support, followed by a fun community Game Day with board games, puzzles, prizes, and lunch served.
